A TÜBİTAK Science Talk Event Was Held
Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK Science Talks Program carried out by the TÜBİTAK Science and Society Presidency, an important event was held at Köksal Toptan Anatolian High School in Bartın to raise awareness among high school students about health, movement, and learning.
The talk, titled “The Relationship Between Health, Movement, and Learning,” was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Şeyma Nur Önal. During the session, students were provided with fundamental information on how regular physical activity affects physical health, cognitive development, and academic performance. In particular, the positive effects of being physically active in daily life on learning capacity, attention span, and overall well-being were explained through examples.
Suggestions were also shared on simple physical activities that students can incorporate into their daily routines to support academic success. The event attracted strong student interest and adopted an interactive approach, with students’ questions answered individually. This allowed participants to gain greater awareness of healthy lifestyle habits and better understand how regular movement contributes to the learning process.
