Heart Health and Physical Activity Seminar Was Held
Within the scope of Heart Health Week (14–20 April), an awareness event titled “Heart Health and Physical Activity”was organized by the Therapy and Rehabilitation Department of Bartın University Vocational School of Health Services.
The event was held on 16 April 2026 at 11:00 in the Ağdacı Campus Conference Hall, with Lecturer Dr. Şeyma Nur Önal serving as the speaker. Academic and administrative staff as well as students from the university showed strong interest in the program.
During the session, participants were informed about major risk factors affecting heart health, the protective role of physical activity, and how to develop proper exercise habits. It was emphasized that regular physical activity plays a crucial role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, and that small but sustainable movement habits in daily life can significantly contribute to heart health. It was also highlighted that regular exercise improves not only cardiovascular health but also overall quality of life and psychological well-being.
At the end of the program, Vice Director of the Vocational School of Health Services Lecturer Elif Yatgın presented a certificate of appreciation to Lecturer Dr. Şeyma Nur Önal for her contribution.
The event concluded with a reminder about the importance of blood donation, encouraging participants to support the blood donation campaign organized in collaboration with the Turkish Red Crescent and Bartın University.
